I’m not sure how well this secret has been kept by now – it’s been on the cards for a little while now – but Toronto instrumental metal band Intervals have been teasing a big announcement for a little while, and yesterday came the news that they had added a vocalist to their setup.
They’ve mentioned the possibility a number of times over the past few years, but always said that it would have to be the right person, both sonically and personally. It seems both criteria have been met in the form of Mike Semesky – a name that should be familiar to fans of Danish metal outfit Raunchy, British tech group The HAARP Machine, and American dream rock band Vestascension – who has spent a good deal of this year touring with the band already as their fill-in bassist.
Mike has a fantastic set of pipes, and in order to show what he can do with Intervals’ material, the following new song “Ephemeral” has been released:
