Brittany Cairns is a Sydney based singer and songwriter with a strong jazz and blues influence. First introduced to Australian audiences on top rating TV program “The Voice”, Brittany captivated her fans with her hauntingly beautiful, spine-tingling vocals.

Since before she could remember, Brittany has always had a deep connection with music. Always a shy performer, she began attracting audiences at her local church and further developed a strong passion for singing through her senior years at high school. After auditioning for lead vocalist in her high school’s stage band, she began to gain the confidence to broaden her performance horizons, including auditioning and gaining finalist status on The Voice.
Brittany has continued to forge a name for herself, with tours in New Zealand and performances at various festivals around Australia. She has already achieved chart success with her rendition of Jes Hudak’s Different Worlds, reaching no.1 and no.7 on the itunes and ARIA charts respectively.
With numerous performances in Sydney to celebrate Christmas and a successful tour in the US for the new QANTAS holidays campaign, Brittany found time to head to Los Angeles to work with leading songwriters and producers such as Johnny Severin (Red One) who has previously worked with Lady Gaga and Usher.
Additionally, Brittany has been co-writing with Lindsey Ray who most recently worked with Demi Lovato, and co wrote Mariah Carey’s new smash hit “Almost Home” also Leanna James McCollum who has written for Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson.
The first single “Behind the Scenes” from the forthcoming self titled EP is now available on Itunes Worldwide. We might even see another sneaky single pop through the charts before the EP is set to release June 2013.
